Position Summary:

An exciting opportunity is immediately available for a biostatistician to join a small but growing group focused on cancer clinical trials and related translational research. CRAB, which is located in downtown Seattle, has 85 employees and is responsible for the design, management and analysis of a variety of phase I, phase II and phase III cancer clinical trials, as well as the analysis of associated laboratory data, including microarray, SNP, and proteomics data. The successful candidate will collaborate with fellow biostatisticians and clinical investigators to design, evaluate and interpret clinical studies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze clinical trials and associated ancillary studies in collaboration with fellow statisticians and other scientists
  • Prepare tables, figures, and written summaries of study results. Interpret results in collaboration with other scientists and help prepare manuscripts
  • Provide statistical consultation with collaborating staff
  • Develop new grants and contracts for company development
  • Give oral presentations of study results and represent CRAB at scientific meetings
  • Supervise biostatisticians
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field
  • Sound knowledge of applied statistics
  • Proficiency in statistical computing in SAS, preferably also in R or S

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Five years of related biostatistics experience
  • Biostatistical consulting experience preferred
  • Strong publication record in survival analysis, high-dimensional data and related areas
  • Spanish language skills a plus

This is a full-time position, and it is exempt from state and federal overtime regulations.
Employment authorization is required.
Travel/relocation expenses will not be provided for this position.
