- A new resource from the NCI,
cancerTrials provides information and news about cancer
clinical trials for cancer patients and their families,

primary mission of cancerTrials is to help people making
cancer care decisions to consider clinical trials as an
option.

Cancer
Information Service - A network of 19 regional offices
supported by the NCI providing accurate, up-to-date information
about cancer to patients and their families, health professionals

Cancer
Therapy and Evaluation Program - The Cancer Therapy
Evaluation Program (CTEP) is the program within the Division
of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD) of the NCI which
plans, assesses, and coordinates all aspects of clinical
trials including extramural clinical research programs,
internal resources, treatment methods and effectiveness,
and compilation and exchange of data as it pertains to the
development and evaluation of anticancer agents.

Cancer
and Leukemia Group B - CALGB is a national clinical
research group founded in 1955 with the goal of bringing
together clinical oncologists and laboratory investigators
to develop better treatments for cancer.
Children's
Oncology Group - A clinical trials cooperative group
dedicated to controlling cancer in children and adolescents.
Coalition
of National Cancer Cooperative Groups, Inc. - CNCCG
was formed in 1997 by six cooperative groups to ensure the
continued opportunity for patients to participate in clinical
trials.
Eastern
Cooperative Oncology Group - ECOG is one of the largest
clinical cancer research organizations in the US, conducting
clinical trials in all types of adult cancers.
Frontier
Science and Technology Research Foundation - A non-profit
research foundation, FSTRF was established in 1975 to advance
the application of statistical science, practice and data
management techniques in science, health care and education.
Intergroup
Rhabdomyosarcoma Study Group - IRSG designs and conducts
clinical trials in the treatment of rhabdomyosarcoma, a
type of cancer found primarily in children.

Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group - The
NCIC CTG is a cooperative oncology group which carries out
clinical trials in cancer therapy and supportive care across
Canada as well as internationally.

Wilms Tumor Study Group - The NWTSG is a multi-institutional
study of the treatment of Wilms Tumor aimed at developing
more effective treatments as well as finding a cure for
the causes of this cancer.

Central Cancer Treatment Group - The NCCTG is an affiliation
of community clinics throughout the US focused on the development
and implementation of clinical cancer research studies.
Pediatric
Brain Tumor Consortium - A multidisciplinary cooperative
research organization devoted to the study of correlative
tumor biology and new therapies for primary CNS tumors of
childhood.
Radiation
Therapy Oncology Group - A national cooperative research
organization.
Southwest
Oncology Group - The Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG)
is a national consortium of institutions and investigators
organized for the purpose of improving the survival of cancer
patients through clinical research. Based in San Antonio,
Texas, SWOG was formed in 1956 as the Southwest Cancer Chemotherapy
Study Group and has since expanded to include all modalities
of cancer therapy and institutions in all regions of the
country. SWOG is the largest clinical cooperative cancer
research group in the United States. The Group also coordinates
the Prostate
Cancer Prevention Trial (PCPT), a large randomized chemoprevention
trial aimed at preventing prostate cancer. Its statistical
branch is based at the Fred
Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) in Seattle,
WA.
SWOG
Statistical Center - Located in Seattle, WA, the Statistical
Center is essential to the study design, coordination and
analysis of the data collected in SWOG's clinical trials.
